• Kintsugi is the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with lacquer made of precious metals. The repaired pottery is valued more highly than it was in its original unbroken state. The imperfections of the repaired pottery are illuminated and embraced as essential parts of the pottery's personal history.

Psychotherapist

Austin, Texas | San Antonio, Texas

My psychotherapy practice is informed by philosophies of Buddhism, stoicism, and existentialism, and supported by my training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), Comprehensive Behavioral (ComB) Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I primarily treat clients ages 16+ with conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, psychosis, trauma, body-focused repetitive behaviors, autism, ADHD, and attachment wounding. My approach to therapy is compassionate, warm, and always affirming. I specialize in providing therapy to clients with intersectional identities, including those who identify as nonbinary or LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent individuals, persons with disabilities or chronic illnesses, and BIPOC. Clients engaging in ethical non-monogamy (ENM) and kink can expect to be welcomed and supported in my practice.

I use the image of kintsugi pottery above to represent the client's therapeutic process—the client enters therapy with perceived "flaws," but through the course of therapy discovers self-acceptance and healing that make the client stronger than before.
